So you are interested in booking the Lincoln University Gospel Choir for an engagement

Well we are always ready and happy to serve those that want to worship the lord and fellowship with us. Before you fill out the forms please make sure that you follow our check-list provided below. Please also read our expectations. Please fill out the appropriate form below according to your status of on campus or off campus.

Timing

Make sure you give adequate time for between booking and your engagement (we suggest two-three weeks). Those not providing at least a two week time frame will have a more likely chance of their request having to be denied.

Information

Please make sure you have all the information needed before filling out the paperwork. This includes an exact address, contact person, and anything else you feel necessary to provide at this time.

Compensation

It does take funds and resources to run a gospel choir. Typically LUGC doesn't ask for a agreed upon honorarium. However based on the nature of the engagement (concert, benefit, campus event) we do sometimes ask for some sort of compensation (this will sometimes be an honorarium, a love offering or what an agreement on what you organization can provide).

But please do not let this discourage you from booking the choir. Regardless of this agreement we would love to worship with you and would appreciate donations as available.

Meals

For almost all events we request that a meal be provided to choir members either before or after the performance. The meal does not have to be anything lavish (we love Grandma's cooking). This is to ensure members who haven;t eaten or don't have the resources to provide meals are able to eat. If there are ever any special dietary needs we will be sure to inform you.

Transportation

It is not as easy to get around as you may believe. For off campus engagements while it is not required we do ask if transportation can be provided to and from the venue by the organization requesting the choir. If you are able to provide transportation there is a more likely chance of your request being granted because the choir will be sure they are able to make it to the engagement in the event that transportation can't be provided request will depend on availability of University vehcles.

Contract

Depending on the agreement  made between your organization and the gospel choir upon approval of your request we will send a contract (via email) we must receive contracts back before engagements we typically ask for them at least 72hrs in advance agree to the terms discussed. Failure to return contract can result in cancellation of choir participation at engagement. If no contract is needed you will be informed when we respond to your request.

Failure to provide all information may result denial of request. Also please check our Events page frequently to see if we have anything already scheduled on the day of your event. Also if you do not hear from us please check whether or not we have anything scheduled for that date or if that is an allowable date
